The last screen in the Wizard is the Finish screen. The finish screen reminds you to put the Zaurus into PC link mode and contains an About SynchroLynx button with information on the SynchroLynx version and how to obtain support. Click Finish to begin the process, click Back to return to the previous screens.

Because of the difference in features between the Zaurus and the PIMs, some validation of data occurs. When data which is entered on one source is invalid in the other, an Error or a Warning will be issued during the synchronization, import or export process.

An Error is a condition which will cause the offending record not to be communicated; a Warning is a condition of which you should be aware but which does not inhibit the communication of the record. The errors and warnings listed in this screen will show you specific information about the entries which are causing the error.

Examples of data which can cause errors include:

Entering information in a field which is longer than the maximum length allowed in the other location’s field.

Mapping a text field to a date field when the text field does not contain date information in a valid date format.

Click Save As to save all the errors and warnings information to an ASCII text file.

Click Print to print a report of the errors and warnings information.

Click Details to see the detail of each record which is causing either an error or a warning.

To fix an Error or Warning, you must edit the offending record(s) to remove whatever condition is causing the Error or Warning.

The Zaurus has a feature which allows the user to change file and field names within the Contact and Data files. Use the Update Field and File Names feature to reflect the changes in the Zaurus names on screens in SynchroLynx that display Zaurus field and file names, like the Field Mapping screen.

If you change a file or a field name on the Zaurus and fail to Update Field and File Names, your synchronization will still work. However, the screens within SynchroLynx which refer to Zaurus field and file names will not display the correct name, possibly leading to confusion.

The Communication Settings screen is used to select important information about the use of SynchroLynx. The settings selected here will be applied for all appropriate places in SynchroLynx.

The Zaurus has a sleep feature which turns off the Zaurus if not used for a specified amount of time. This is very helpful in saving battery power. When the Zaurus is in PC Link mode, the sleep feature is not engaged. Therefore, it can be useful to have SynchroLynx automatically disconnect after transfer to enable the sleep feature to work.
