Installation

If you are upgrading from a previous version of RuppLynx, install this new version in a separate directory on your hard drive. Make sure the new Version 4.0 is working properly and that you are comfortable with it before deleting the old version. To delete the old version, run the "Uninstall" program that came with your previous version.

Note: Before you delete the old version, make sure to copy all of your data sets to the new directory containing Version 4.0.

Installing RuppLynx

1. Insert Installation Disk 1 in your
PC disk drive.

2. Click on the Start menu and select Run. Then type A:SETUP (or B:SETUP)
and press Enter. The "Installation Wizard" will check your system and the installation process will begin. You will be instructed when to insert the remaining
installation disks.

3. When prompted, enter the hard drive and directory name where RuppLynx 4.0 will reside, or accept the default name and location by pressing Enter.

4. When prompted, indicate which hand-held units you wish to support. The list of all supported units is divided into four Series (Zaurus, Wizard 9XXX, Wizard 8XXX and YO/ZQ). You can only choose one specific model within a Series.

Note: If you plan to support more than one YO/ZQ model, select the model number you will use most often. Once you run the program, you can switch to other model numbers whenever necessary.
