Activities Display

When editing a Time based file, select the Activities button from the Editor Toolbar to display the Activities Window. This shows details of all entries in the file.

Calendar, Timed Events and Daily Events

To change the month displayed on the Calendar, click the month tab at the top of the screen. To change the year displayed, click the arrows to the left and right of the calendar. Click on the Today button to display today. Dates on which activities have been scheduled are highlighted with an asterisk. To see the entries for that date, click that date on the calendar. The entries will appear in the Timed Events and Daily Events lists. To go to an entry, click on that entry in the Time or Daily events lists.

To delete an entry -- in either the Time or Daily events lists, select the entry you want to delete, then click on Delete.

The Weekly Graph

The graph displays all your appointments for the current week. Each horizontal bar shows the time of an appointment and its duration. The selected entry (if any) within the Time or Daily lists is highlighted with diagonal shading. You can see all the events for any day on the graph by clicking on that row. You can highlight a new entry by clicking on it.

Rescheduling an entry by moving it on the graph

1. In either the Time or Daily events list, select the entry that you want to reschedule. You will see that entry highlighted on the Weekly Graph.

2. Now click and drag the entry to the desired new time. Release the mouse button.

3. The Move Event window will appear asking you confirm the new time for the entry. Note that at this point you can change the date, time, duration and description of the entry. The Move Event window will not appear if it has been disabled in File / Preferences / Day.

Note: You can also highlight the entry and click Move to type in the new time and date.

Functions

Snap to XX Intervals -- When this item is enabled, entries on the graph that are dragged from one position to another will snap to the beginning of the nearest time slot. The length of each time slot (XX) is defined in File / Preferences / Day.

Working Day (XX:XX to XX:XX) -- When enabled, an entry being dragged to a new position cannot be dropped outside the Working day as defined in File / Preferences / Day.

Include Weekends -- When not enabled, an entry being dragged to a new position can not be dropped onto a weekend.

Revising the Time Manager

You can change which editors the Time Manager checks for clashes by clicking Filter. This will display the Dependencies dialog allowing you to change these options.
