Welcome to RuppLynx 3.1, the complete workshop for Sharp pen-based K-PDAs and Organizers, including the Sharp Zaurus. With RuppLynx you can back up and restore data, transfer files to and from your PC and merge data together from more than one source.

Attention Upgraders -- New Features Added to Version 3.1

This new version of RuppLynx gives you more flexibility than ever before to import, export and back up data.

· Two or more data fields can be merged together when imported or exported, so that you can maintain all your vital information when you move from one data format to another.

· You can create multiple sets of data files on a single PC.

· This new version is fully compatible with the Zaurus ZR-5800 -- with larger memory capacity and support for Zaurus spreadsheets

· New functions can be added to your RuppLynx program with modules. Call Rupp today to find out about modules that can update RuppLyynx to support just-released programs...allow you to report and print (i.e., label printing)...even edit data from a third party IC card.

K-PDAs / Organizers Supported

RuppLynx 3.1 supports most Sharp models including:

· the ZR-5000 Zaurus series (including the ZR-5800)

· the OZ-5XXX, OZ-65XX, OZ-95XX, and OZ-9600 series

· all YO-xxx (except YO-600 Series) and ZQ-xxxx series Organizers

A Note About This Manual

This manual uses the following conventions:

· Commands appear as boldface text in all caps. Keys and buttons are printed in boldface text with an initial cap. Example: "To see the directory, type DIR, then press Enter."

· Notes and tips are printed in italics. Example: See "Chapter 3: Setting Up RuppLynx."

· Vital instructions are printed in bold italics. Example: Important: Do not attempt to install RuppLynx 3.1 from the Windows File Manager.

· Menu Options are printed in bold type. Example: "From the File menu, choose Exit."
